Ehime University Hospital Newsletter \u201cINVITATION No. 82 (2026 AUTUMN)\u201d<\/strong> Ryuta Watanabe was featured in the special project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the hospital's opening, titled \"The Hospital Director and Six Young Doctors Discuss the Present and Future of Our Hospital.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the roundtable discussion, participants exchanged opinions on the future of Ehime University Hospital, focusing on themes such as human resource development, advanced medical care and research, and contributing to the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watanabe emphasizes the importance of research that utilizes patient-provided specimens for research and uses the results to improve medical care, and collaborates with researchers nationwide and around the world.\"From Ehime to the world\": Disseminating research findings.<\/strong>This is what it is about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryuta Watanabe,2026 Japan Medical Association Medical Research Encouragement Award<\/strong>I received this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award-winning research project was:\"Elucidation of the Differentiation Mechanisms of Treatment-Induced Neuroendocrine Prostate Cancer and Construction of a Personalized Medicine Foundation through Spatial Transcriptome and Nationwide Cohort Integrated Analysis\"<\/strong>is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This research aims to elucidate the mechanisms of development and progression of neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC), a highly treatment-resistant disease, and to develop new treatment strategies by combining clinical samples collected through collaborative research with medical institutions nationwide with advanced technologies such as spatial transcriptome analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We express our gratitude to our many collaborators, patients, and medical institutions who have cooperated with our research, and we will continue to work towards returning research findings to patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young doctors and researchers active in the field of urological cancer gathered from all over the country for a lively discussion on the latest research and treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas directly with research colleagues with whom we regularly collaborate, deepening research exchange and camaraderie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I participated in UAA 2026.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Held in Manila, PhilippinesUAA 2026 (Asian Urological Association)<\/strong>I participated in the conference and presented research findings on single-cell analysis in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHNPC) before treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conference, I had the opportunity to interact with urologists and researchers from various Asian countries. At the social gathering, I met a Thai person who had studied at Ehime University in 2018.Teacher Varat<\/strong>We also happened to reunite and were able to rekindle our old friendship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
