略歴

1961年鹿児島市生まれ、私立ラ・サール高等学校を卒業後、1980年に鹿児島大学医学部に進学、卒業後整形外科の臨床研究および大学院を経て、整形外科専門医を取得、1994年に鹿児島大学医学部附属病院助手、同年スウェーデン王国ウプサラ大学ルードヴィヒ癌研究所に留学、1996年に帰国後は、(財)癌研究会癌研究所生化学部で研究員と主任研究員を経て、2004年に生化学部部長に就任、2010年から愛媛大学大学院医学系研究科分子病態医学講座教授、2012年から愛媛大学医学部附属病院先端医療創生センター長を兼任、医学博士、専門は、シグナル伝達とがん・骨代謝、バイオイメージング、2009年から6年間JST　CREST「光展開」の研究代表者として新規顕微鏡（２光子励起顕微鏡）を開発した。

Biography

Takeshi Imamura MD, PhD is a Professor of the Department of Molecular Medicine for Pathogenesis at the Ehime University Graduate School of Medicine from 2010.
He graduated from the Kagoshima University in 1987. In 1994 he joined the TGF-B group (group head; Dr. Kohei Miyazono) of Ludwig Institute in Uppsala, Sweden as Researcher. He returned to Japan in 1996 and became Postdoctoral Fellow, Group head (2000), Department Director (2004) at the Department of Biochemistry, the JFCR Cancer Institute. He is Associate Editor for Cancer Science and Journal of Bone and Mineral Metabolism (JBMM). His research interests lie in the area of bio-imaging in bone biology and cancer biology fields.
