It has been urgent task to obtain “Healthy Longevity” in especially developed countries, which are getting into progressed aging societies. To overcome this issue, it is necessary to develop novel therapeutic strategies based on the knowledge of molecular basis of pathophysiologies of the diseases, such as bone and joint disorders, infectious diseases and malignant tumors. In our division, we do research with the purpose to understand the precise pathophysiologies of various diseases using mice genetic approaches.
In addition, the genome-wide epigenetic analyses, such as chromatin remodeling and modifications, lead to the clarification of gene expression regulatory systems and the identification of therapeutic target molecules. We try to investigate the novel therapeutic strategies by the integrative “Semi-Dry” approaches with the bioinformatics as well as wet experiments.
